Candidates for first cycle studies
Attention!
Holders of foreign high school diplomas (doesn’t apply to International Baccalaureate nor European Baccalaureate – they follow the procedure for holders of diplomas issued in Poland) must upload scan of all required documents in the IRK system, no later than 5 working days before the end of the registration for the chosen field of study.
Scans – to be submitted via the IRK system
- Foreign high school diploma, certified by:
- an Apostille (if the document was issued by an institution operating in the education system of a country that is a party to the Hague Convention ). This obligation does not apply to candidates holding International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate diplomas.
- legalization by a Polish Embassy located in the issuing country – in all other cases.
- Transcript of records from high school.
- Exam results – if applicable in a given country (e.g. ZNO, CT, Gaokao, TYT, AYT).
- Sworn translations of documents listed in points 1–3:
- into Polish – for applications to programmes conducted in Polish;
- into Polish or English – for applications to programmes conducted in English.
- Individual recognition statement issued by NAWA’s Director (check whether your diploma requires recognition on NAWA’s website ).
- Language certificate *
- NAWA scholarship decision – applies to NAWA scholars only.
- Photo.
- Passport – applies to foreign nationals only.
- Project – required only for candidates applying for Individual Interdisciplinary Studies.
- For winners or finalists of Polish olympiads: an official document issued by the main organizing committee, confirming the result achieved in the central qualifying round.
- For athletes with outstanding achievements in Olympic disciplines and disciplines included in the Polish Academic Championships: an official document issued by the relevant sports association, specifying the sports class, its validity period, and achievements.
- Polish citizens;
- EU, EFTA or UK citizens applying with:
- a high school diploma issued in an EU, EFTA or OECD country,
- International Baccalaureate diploma,
- European Baccalaureate diploma,
- a diploma covered by international agreements on recognition of education.
Paper documents
- no later than , or
- within 4 days of the announcement of the final list of qualified candidates, to the relevant office.
- all documents previously submitted as scans;
- a self-signed personal questionnaire with a photo, generated and printed from the IRK system;
- a legal representative’s consent statement – applicable to candidates under 18 years of age.
Candidates for second-cycle studies
Attention!
Holders of foreign bachelor or master diploma must upload scan of all required documents in the IRK system, no later than 5 working days before the end of the registration for the chosen field of study.
Scans – to be submitted via the IRK system
Foreign bachelor or master diploma certified by an apostille or legalisation.
- Foreign bachelor or master diploma certified by:
- an Apostille (if the document was issued in a country that is a party to the Hague Convention )
- legalisation by a Polish Embassy operating in the issuing country – in other cases
- Transcript of records
- Sworn translation of documents listed in points 1 and 2:
- into Polish – for studies conducted in Polish
- into Polish or English – for studies conducted in English
- Individual recognition statement issued by NAWA’s Director *
- Language certificate **
- Photo
- NAWA’s decision granting scholarship – NAWA scholars only
- Passport – foreigners only
- CV including education and scientific interests – Quantum Information Technology candidates only
Notes
* Does not apply to foreign diplomas:
- issued in EU, EFTA or OECD countries
- covered by international agreements on the recognition of education
** Does not apply to Polish citizens or EU, EFTA and UK citizens using one of the following documents:
- bachelor diploma issued in an EU, EFTA or OECD country
- bachelor or master diploma covered by international recognition agreements
Paper documents
Original paper documents to be submitted:
- all documents previously submitted as scans
- a self-signed personal questionnaire with a photo generated and printed from the IRK system
- a legal representative’s consent statement – for candidates under 18 years of age
IMPORTANT
- Failure to submit paper documents by the deadlines will result in non-enrolment on the student list;
- A candidate not qualified for admission is not entitled to submit documents;
- Documents may be submitted in person, by a third party, or sent by post or courier (the date of delivery, not the date of posting, is what counts). We do not require authorisation for submission of documents by a third party;
- The submission of documents by persons with “reserve” status does not mean being admitted. A “reserve” candidate takes the place of a “qualified” person (according to the ranking) in the event that this person has not provided a complete set of documents by the set deadline, has resigned from the recruitment process or has been disqualified.
